Models Point to NYC Hurricane on Anniversary
There's nothing like meteorological irony. On the anniversary of the 1938 "Long Island Express" hurricane that hit New York City, several Forecast Models are predicting a storm to take a similar track and make landfall in that area this weekend. Now, we're far from a model consensus on this, and we're talking a Category 1 hurricane, not a 3 as the LIE was, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
AccuWeather.com Professional's Joe Bastardi [BIO] (PRO USERS READ NOW | 30-DAY FREE TRIAL) said in his blog:
