Midwest Monster Mauls Minneapolis Metrodome and More
The heavy snow may have been far west of the initial computer forecast model guesses a week ago, but lest you think this storm wasn't a monster as predicted, consider these facts: The Minneapolis Metrodome collapsed under the weight of heavy snow Sunday morning. Over 20 inches of snow fell in Wisconsin and Minnesota, breaking records in Minneapolis. 70-mph winds were recorded in Iowa and blizzard conditions were reported in eight states.
