Midwest Flooding Pics, Tornado Damage Vs. Snow
UPDATE: Here's some raw video (NO AUDIO) of aerial and ground footage of the flooding from ABCNewsOne:
ORIGINAL POST:
I haven't done a good job of covering the deadly flooding in the Midwest this week, because it was overshadowed by the tornado reports, such as the Wheatland, Wisconsin twister which has been rated EF-3 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. Below are photos from the NWS storm survey - as you can see, the damage was devastating (click here to see all photos).
The MSNBC story also says that the tornado-stricken town is speeding up the cleanup because snow is forecast - this is something that tornado victims rarely have to deal with: their damaged stuff getting covered for a long time (and probably more damaged) by snow! We are in fact calling for 1-2 inches for Wheatland over the next day or two, according to this snowfall map from our Pro site, and possibly a major storm 10 days out.
As to the flooding, I'll point you to this MSNBC story which says that seven people have been killed by the flooding, and I'll show some Associated Press photos below.
