Massive Hurricane on Saturn
NASA's Cassini has discovered a massive hurricane-like storm (complete with eye) at Saturn's South Pole. Creepy photograph (looking a lot like the CBS symbol) shown below.
The storm has an eyewall-like structure and (unlike our hurricanes) is locked to the South Pole (astronomers aren't sure why).
COMPARISON OF HURRICANES ON EARTH:
TOP WIND SPEEDS: 350 MPH (EARTH: 190 MPH*)
WIDTH: 5,000 MILES (EARTH: 675 MILES*)
CLOUD HEIGHT: 45 MILES (EARTH: 10 MILES**)
