The major winter storm promised for the Carolinas and Virginia took place today, and major snow was reported up the entire East Coast. Here is a preliminary map and list of the highest snow reports by state before 9 PM Saturday. I will update this blog again in the morning with final totals. Virginia Beach ended up under a Blizzard Warning, and conditions there were just insane, as Reed Timmer shows:
