Los Angeles Hits 113 Degrees!
UPDATE: More details on local readings can be obtained from Ken Clark, who also has the story behind this huge temperature drop of 24 degrees in half an hour and 38 degrees in an hour!
The downtown Los Angeles weather station just hit 113 degrees, (in-between readings here that show 112) breaking their all-time record high for the station (112 in 1990). They spiked from 94 to 107 between 9 and 11 AM local time today. This comes, ironically, after an unusually cool summer. 116 degrees was reported unofficially at a L.A. Fire Department weather station.
