Look Into the Eye of Monster Man-Yi
That may be my weirdest blog title ever! But check out this super-high-resolution shot of Typhoon Man-Wi's eye from early this morning:
The storm is also clearly visible on Japan Radar (here or here), already sending outer rain bands over the southern islands (I'll archive some images so we'll have an animation when it's all over).
The WaveWatch III FM from our Pro Site shows waves over 30 feet affecting the southern islands this afternoon, with waves higher than 33 feet near the center of the storm (see below), with waves over 20 feet affecting the southeast prefectures on Saturday.
