London Snow Record, 118 Inches in Albania
Heavy snow has plagued much of the European continent this month. The day after I blogged about 132 inches (11 feet) of snow in California, this story came out saying "At least five municipalities and some 10,000 people in northern Albania were cut off after heavy snowfall, local reports said Thursday. Layers of fresh snow exceeded 3 metres in some area of the mountainous region." Three meters is 118 inches, or nearly 10 feet of snow!
