Late-season snowfall graces Appalachian mountains
Up to a foot of late-season snow fell in the Appalachian mountains last night from Georgia to New York state. The following are the highest snow amounts by state:

Mount Mitchell, North Carolina (webcam above) had the most with 13 inches!

It looked pretty with the spring buds about to come out! (The view above is from Purchase Knob, North Carolina, just northwest of Asheville.)
It also snowed here in State College, Pennsylvania, but did not accumulate in town, like it did elsewhere in Pennsylvania.
