KSU Tornado Damage Pix, Towercam Video
Mike Smith (CEO of WeatherData, an AccuWeather Company in Wichita, Kansas) drove through Manhattan, Kansas today and sent these tornado damage pictures from Kansas State University. This article says that the price tag on repairs will be $20 million (the building that houses a nuclear plant was also damaged, and, ironically, the Wind Erosion Lab was destroyed). Blog reader Marc says that aerial video of the damage in the town can be viewed at KSN.com. More great photos are available from a local newspaper.

Also check out this YouTube video showing the tornado passing in front of a television tower cam. Leave comments on what you think is going on in the video; if you speed up and slow down the video, you can form your own opinions. I am pretty sure that, if you pause the video during the lightning strike near 2:34, you can see the funnel coming down from the cloud mid-screen.
