J-SHOW: April Fools Blooper Extravaganza
In honor of April Fool's Day, here is a series of unfortunate bloopers and outtakes from The J-Show and other video blogs during the last two weeks.
"J Does the Chicken Dance, Take 1"
During this one, I was preparing for the J-Show, at which time the camera is usually running. I was demo'ing some royalty-free background music that we own, to find something nice for the background. Needless to say, this one didn't work. WARNING: LOUD AUDIO.
"Cell Phone Beeps With Text Message During V-Blog"
I had done several minutes of this Video Blog, showing photos from last week's thunderstorms, when my cell phone interrupted with a text message. I, of course, dropped everything and checked it. Turns out it was a false alarm from my computer at home saying that the weather station there couldn't connect to the Internet. Hardly worse redoing the whole V-Blog, but now I had to.
"This... Is The J-Cam. I mean The J-Show."
Calling "The J-Show" "The J-Cam" in the first phrase of this J-Show wasn't the last screwup. I continually bungled the (ad-libbed!) script until I started to tell a joke that wasn't funny, and finally threw in the towel.
"Rampant Birds and Motorheads In This City"
This was a test to see if it was possible to do a video blog outside last Tuesday during the storms, but I quickly got off track and, despite the fact that I did catch a lightning strike in the background, loud birds and speeding cars in the distance finally killed the take.
