Intense Rainfall in Cleveland
Blog reader "Shorty" reports on a heavy rain situation in Cleveland this evening -- in fact it happened in his back yard. A large thunderstorm developed over the city and sat there for several hours, dumping over 5 inches of rain, according to AccuWeather.com RadarPlus (see below), and according to local Channel 5 meteorologist Mark Johnson, 6 inches of rain fell in 90 minutes.

Officially, The NWS [JessePedia] reported 4.45" of rain in the city and this storm report: "MANY ROADS IMPACTED BY HIGH WATER IN DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND. IN ADDITION... NUMEROUS CARS STALLED OUT IN AREAS OF HIGH WATER."
