INT: Sidr Videos, Deaths Could Hit 10,000
As I predicted, death tolls have continued to rise from the landfall of intense Tropical Cyclone (Hurricane) Sidr in Bangladesh. Jim Andrews said (PREMIUM | PRO) that it was a strong Category 4 storm as late as 2 hours before landfall.
The death toll started off around 100 people, but has steadily increased over the last few days and this morning stands at 3,447, with some saying it could hit 10,000. Below is video from our affiliate ABCNewsOne:

The article quoting 3,447 says in part:
But puts the storm in perspective:
The video above says a record 600,000 were evacuated. Still, it's sad that, in this day of reasonably accurate forecasting (we all knew the storm would hit there) that the country is unable to get the word to evacuate out, or that the people are unable to evacuate. Surely they are not unwilling, with the historical storms fresh in peoples' minds.
