INT: New Zealand: High Winds, Heavy Snow
High winds ripped a roof off of a house in the northern part of New Zealand while heavy snow blanketed areas in the south. In the middle, the city of Aukland lost power for four hourswhen wind snapped a major power line; meanwhile a man was swept overboard from a tanker in Wellington Harbor. Some areas described the snowfall as the heaviest in 50 years.
