Incredible Wind Gusts In Northeast, Ontario

UPDATE: Local storm chaser Ron "R-Factor" Shawley got a 63 mph gust on his Kestrel 2000 handheld wind meter at Chickoree Mountain near Johnstown, PA, and he's got the picture to prove it:
Southeast Ontario and the Northeast are getting blasted by high winds this morning. We have seen 51 mph so far on our weather station here in State College. But it's even worse in Canada - Port Colborn, Ontario gusted to 78 mph at 6 AM this morning!

Buffalo, NY: 67 mph

Yesterday also featured high wind gusts in the Midwest, over 80 mph in Indiana and Missouri, though some of those gusts were associated with thunderstorms. This morning's wind gusts in the Northeast were simply as the srong cold front came through.
