UPDATE: Ron's ice photos from the mountains above Johnstown, PA are really impressive. We are now using a bulldozer to rid the AccuWeather parking lot of ice.
UPDATE: The winds are starting to kick up across parts of Pennsylvania. This is a problem because at elevation, heavy ice accumulation on trees and power lines, plus wind, could lead to downed trees and power outages. The latest spotter ice reports and a wind map:

State College, PA: 0.75"
Fairfield, VA: 0.5"
Snow has begun now in western Pennsylvania at elevation. Reports from Local storm chaser Ron "R-Factor" Shawley indicate heavy snow at 1:45 PM in the mountains north of Johnstown.

An icestorm has left as much of half an inch of freezing rain and sleet over the higher elevations of the Northeast U.S. this morning. Below is a list of ice accumulations and some photos from AccuWeather HQ this morning, including icicles on our corporate logo.
Pennsylvania remains socked in according to radar, but many places are near freezing and will rise above it later this morning.
