HYPE: GFS Says Winter Returns
The GFS model is pretty much saying this morning that there will be one more round of winter in the Plains, Ohio Valley, and Northeast. According to the model, on April 9th, a snowstorm will be moving through the Northeast after socking the Midwest & Ohio Valley with significant snow. It will bring flurries as far south as the North Carolina mountains.
But before that... An unusually precise agreement amongst the NAM and DGEX models shows that around Hour 84 (Thursday evening) Nebraska will get a quick spate of snow.
Then 24 hours later, the GFS believes that precipitation will begin as snow in Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle before moving eastward.
