Hurricane Kyle Approaches Canadian Maritimes
Kyle is officially a hurricane bound for the U.S./Canada border this morning. Buoy #44011 is the only close weather station, and it has recently started gusting over 40 knots with waves over 16 feet.
Given that most of the winds are on the east and south side (see the surface shot below with estimated winds from the WRF initialization via AccuWeather.com RadarPlus), I don't see there being much fanfare until landfall, where there should be some minor damage on the Canadian Maritimes.

As I said yesterday, we've got a lot of good news stories and blogs on these topics, so check out the headlines to your right, especially Canadian expert Brett Anderson (PREMIUM | PRO).
