Hurricane Danny 2015 vs. Tropical Storm Danny 2009
Hurricane Danny is looking pretty healthy this morning (forecast points are dots; the Caribbean islands are on the left):
According to our Interactive Hurricane Tracker and my blog, six years ago this week we were dealing with a different Danny in the Atlantic, one that threatened the North Carolina Outer Banks but ultimately weakened, causing only some overwash there.
Interestingly enough, the long-range forecast models take Danny 2015 close to where Danny 2009 was:
