How Much Snow Will the Northeast Get?
UPDATE: Here's the GFS 12Z, in (remarkable?) agreement, although again I would caution that these amounts could be lowered when freezing rain or sleet fall on top of the snow. As far as travel conditions here in PA... the roads will be bad due to unusually cold air and recent rains (see yesterday's entry).
The forums are going nuts with nearly 8,000 posts on this storm so far.

How much snow will the Northeast get tomorrow? Here's one model's prediction (the 12Z NMM):
I just posted this map over on the forums, with an additional explanation of why this may not come true, even if this model is correct. NOTE: The snow shown to the northwest of the storm track in Michigan is existing snow cover.
