Breaking News: The top official in Harris County, Texas, home to Houston, warned residents Friday afternoon: Now is the time to prepare for Hurricane Dean.

This is very impressive considering the storm is still 4-6 days away, no official advisories have been issued, and Houston is only on the edge of the AccuWeather and NHC forecasts. However, the latest Model Spread is trending in that direction. This is really all a result of the Hurricane Katrina debacle(s), and the flooding this week in Houston didn't hurt.
