Hot Overnight in the East
After another extremely hot day nationwide, with all states hitting the 90s, there were some incredibly high "low" temperatures this (Tuesday) morning.
New York City (Central Park), for example, only dipped to 80 last night. Kill Devil Hills dropped to 79. But what are the records for major cities in the east? This graphic answers the question:
ALL-TIME WARMEST "LOW" TEMPS:
Key West: 86 (1997)
Chicago: 85 (1916)
Newark: 84 (1993)
Boston: 83 (1975)
Philadelphia: 82 (1918)
