UPDATE 2PM: East Milton, Mass. is gusting to 77 mph. An offshore buoy reports waves to 13.5 feet.

We're on the lookout for high winds and possible beach erosion or coastal flooding on the coast of New England today.

At 8 a.m. winds were already gusting to 42 knots (see below) or 48 mph at some locations. Buoys off the coast were reporting 38 mph winds and 11-foot seas.
