It's a heck of a thing to wake up to, but there are already two Tornado Watches in effect and a handful of Tornado Warnings have already been issued.

Both AccuWeather.com and the U.S. government have issued an extremely rare
for severe thunderstorms today in the Tennessee Valley. Governmental High Risks have only gone out twice this year, once in April then in June and I couldn't tell you the last time I saw one in November. These outbreaks are typically historical.
To quote from our Breaking Weather News Page:
The government's Storm Prediction Center says:
As you can see from this really big map, Dew Points (which are a good measure of severe weather potential) are very high for this time of year from the Gulf through the Midwest. As alluded to above, this unusually warm and moist air will help power today's tornado outbreak.

And that's not all this storm is going to do. It will spread heavy snow into the Midwest and even some Lake-Effect snow for the Great Lake states on Wednesday.
