UPDATE 2 PM: Here's a map of the snowfall amounts from NOHRSC. Although this has no bearing meteorologically, the heavy snow is roughly inversely proportional to the population map of New England, except for Maine (and that is skewed by the fact that Maine has very large counties). I have updated the snowfall list below.
Check out the Comment below about how (for one reader anyway) this storm was as bad as the Blizzard Of 1978, and the note that nearly 200,000 are without power in Maine.

Heavy lake-effect snow in Michigan caused a number of pileups and other accidents. The highest amounts there:

Also, a heavy lake-effect snow band affected Cambria and Somerset County, PA overnight; below is the radar shot; one blog reader reports 10 inches of snow from the band in Somerset, while a report from Johnstown on the SnowMatrix indicates 6 inches.
Up to a foot of lake-effect snow also fell at Canaan Valley State Park, West Virginia.
