Harsh Maine Winter Stays Late, Breaks Records
I promised blog reader Aaron that I would post this information about the unusual winter at Caribou Maine, because it hasn't received much media attention. Caribou broke their all-time recorded history seasonal snowfall record this year, with 193 inches (or over 15 feet) of snow (their normal is around 110 and an amount over 160 inches had only been achieved once before since 1940!)

According to NOHRSC, some places in Maine still have over 5 feet of snow on the ground!
