Model tracks, the AccuWeather EyePath, and the Government forecast, bring Ike across Cuba, into the Gulf, and off the coast of New Orleans by next Friday.
The remnants of Tropical Storm Hanna are in Canada this morning (radar), moving rapidly on their way to Europe. Hanna dropped a wide swath of 3-6 inches of rain from Virginia through Maine. The Doppler-estimated precip map I posted yesterday was running high (hey, they're estimates) so here's a more realistic version of the data from the NWS Gauge-Adjusted Doppler-Precip Site. Note that this is 7 AM to 7 AM, so data below Washington D.C. would be absent. I will upload a wider, higher-res wallpaper version of this data tomorrow.
But for now... it's time to get back to watching Ike.
