The Athens snow event is over! More than 30cm (12in) of snow lies currently at Politeia (northern suburb of the city). Milder weather and sunshine (with a few possible flakes until tomorrow) is expected for the next few days. Things are expected to change next Tuesday, with southerly winds and heavy rainfalls, while by Wednesday the winds turn to northern direction bringing cold weather once again, although (it seems) not cold enough for another snow event.
