GFS Hurricane Hype Begins With FL Landfall
Well, it's that time of year. The GFS Computer Forecast Model has begun predicting tropical storms near the end of its two-week period. At this point, to try to pinpoint landfall would be impossible, as it jumps around greatly from run to run, but the interesting thing here is that the GFS is seeing the pattern that could produce our first Tropical Storm or Hurricane somewhere in the Atlantic during the first week in June. Here's what the last several runs have said:

06Z MONDAY: (MAJOR STORM THREATENS WEST FLORIDA)
00Z MONDAY: (MODERATE STORM THREATENS SW FLORIDA)
18Z SUNDAY: (NOT SHOWN - POSSIBLE WEAK STORM PRESENT IN SW GULF)
12Z SUNDAY: (MODERATE STORM IN MID-GULF)
