Frigid Recovery In Ravaged Areas
November tornadoes afford a rare and unfortunate situation for those cleaning up the damage and nursing the injured: Freezing weather.
The bulk of tornadoes occur in the spring and summer, and often a lack of air conditioning is one post-storm problem for survivors.
But tonight, the current conditions in Paris, Tennessee (where the Henry County Emergency Management office was destroyed by a tornado*) indicate that it's 33 degrees there at 11 p.m. and a Freeze Warning is in effect.
In Benton, Kentucky (Marshall County, where one person was killed when their mobile home overturned and caught on fire*) show a temperature of 31 degrees.
In Greenfield, Indiana (Hancock County, the site of another death due to hydroplaning in flood waters*) it's 27 and the RealFeel temperature is 12!
