Florida: From Waterspouts to Snow
UPDATE: According to this page, not even a trace of snow has ever fallen in the state in Florida, though technically I don't know if sleet would count as snow or not (probably). So if even a "trace" of sleet is recorded officially, the record for no winter precip in Florida in April. will be broken.

I neglected to point out Friday that there were quite a few waterspout reports from the Florida Keys on Thursday. Here's a map of where the Local Storm Reports came in and descriptions of the 'spouts (or 'spout):

- AN OFF-DUTY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE EMPLOYEE REPORTED A FUNNEL CLOUD SOUTH OF MARATHON.
- A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC REPORTED A VERY THIN WATERSPOUT BEGINNING TO DISSIPATE SOUTH OF MARATHON.
- A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC REPORTED A VERY LARGE WATERSPOUT NORTH OF MILE MARKER 16 ON U.S. 1.
- A TRAINED SPOTTER REPORTED A LARGE WATERSPOUT ABOUT ONE MILE NORTH OF THE BOW CHANNEL BRIDGE
- ATRAINED SPOTTER REPORTED A WATERSPOUT AND A FUNNEL CLOUD ABOUT ONE MILE NORTH OF THE BOW CHANNEL BRIDGE
The waterspouts were not covered by local media, according to Google News.
