Florence`s Future
I'm out of the office and a little under the weather today (no pun intended) but I did want to post this tidbit about (recently declared) Tropical Storm Florence. If you look at the model trends through 60 hours from all available forecast models (available on our Pro site):
The trend seems to be solidly to the northwest, away from the islands (at left). But if you take the models out further, at least the NHC models shown below, the storm appears to take a southwest turn towards the islands and Puerto Rico.
AccuWeather.com Professional's Joe Bastardi says in his morning blog:
In any case, if she becomes a Category 3 storm, or even a Cat 2, she'll be the first one this year, which is remarkable this late in the season. Below is our latest graphic depectiing possible landfall areas, if she makes landfall.
