Floods: Bolivia Declared Disaster Area
UPDATE:ACT gives some idea of the scope of the rainfall there, which the other articles did not:
Extreme flooding in the country of Bolivia (info|map) has caused the new president to declare the entire country a disaster area, says FoxNews tonight, who is showing impressive amateur video of a wall of mud coming through a town there.
This article from the BBC mentions that 30,000 families have been affected, and more will likely be as the rainy season continues there.
The NASA TRMM satellite image above shows that over 10 inches of rain has fallen in parts of Bolivia during the past three days, with over 7 inches in neighboring Peru (amounts below 100 mm have been deleted; from their 72-hour point and click map (map saved) I got values of 261.66 mm 10.30 Inches).
