First Big Severe Weather Outbreak!
As I hinted at a couple days ago, the season's first big severe weather outbreak is expected today over the Southern Plains, and tomorrow over the Southern Mississippi Valley. This year's first Moderate Risk, and a rare "Day 2" Moderate Risk have been issued by The SPC [JessePedia].
Dewpoints were already rising into Oklahoma this morning:
The setup is typical: warm and moist air from the Gulf will meet cold air from the Rockies under a strong jetstream.
