This map shows roughly how much snow fell from the central states to the East Coast the past couple of days. Those that live in eastern New England will have to pardon any discrepancies since this map was drawn when the storm was still in progress. The storm was pretty darn big for so early in the season. Often, major snowstorms like this don't impact this part of the country until later in December or even January, and in some winters, a storm of this magnitude never happens. --AccuWeather.com Meteorologist John Kocet
