Fall Foliage, From the Ground and the Heavens
NASA had a great satellite view of the Northeast which literally showed fall color (as a brown hue) here in Pennsylvania on October 13th:
I took the liberty of labeling some local points of interest. Two days before, I was storm chasing at Indian Lookout in Huntingdon County and took these photos (with the center of the panorama facing in the direction of the arrow shown on the map):
A news article we did on the same day confirmed that the foliage is at peak here in Central Pennsylvania.
