Easter Morning Lake-Effect Snow Radar
Here in Central PA, we're accustomed to getting occasional snow showers, flurries and some short snow bands off of Lake Erie. But Saturday night a persistent long snow band set up right over Centre County, home to AccuWeather HQ. Check out the radar loop of the event below courtesy Plymouth State and watch the lake-effect band snake around above us. Very impressive.

The NWS even put out several Special Weather Statements followed by a Snow Advisory.
Estimates from local meteorologists put the storm total from 0 to 6 inches depending on where in the county they were. I pointed The J-CAM outside Sunday to catch the snow:
And I took the photos below on the way from State College to nearby Bellefonte, PA, which completely missed the event. In fact, in the one photo you can see where the snow stopped, with the mountain on the left getting no snow and the mountain on the right, several inches.
