Early Morning Snow, Sleet, Ice Amounts Update

7 AM SATURDAY: A quick update on amounts of winter precipitation this morning, more later this morning. See last night's entry for a Model update and News reports.NWS reports... Light snow fell overnight Highest totals from yesterday remain but all states have been updated below. Snow totals are now a foot in Wisconsin and Michigan... more in Minnesota, a foot and a half in Wyoming, and then there's that three feet in Colorado. Significant amounts of freezing rain have been reported in 10 states.

Light snow fell overnight as far east as New York City (see video below of snow and Christmas decorations). Temperatures are very cold in New England, not so much in Pennsylvania (see map below). As you can see on the J-CAM, which has been repositioned to show outside of my window at AccuWeather HQ, we only got about half an inch of snow last night.
