Double Tornadoes in Louisiana!
UPDATE: I have added some Raw Video to the player at right, showing the damage in Texas and Louisiana. Frank Strait (PREMIUM | PRO) says in his blog this evening "I just saw the reports that Yazoo City, Mississippi is currently having what is described as a "large and dangerous tornado" go through town."
ORIGINAL POST: This staggering report came in from the National Weather Service at 11:30 Central Time: "ALEXANDRIA COUNTY, LA: TWO TORNADOES ON THE GROUND. REPORTED BY RED CROSS." Below is the radar image from that time, not showing any obvious "hook echoes" but these are winter thunderstorms, not something you'd see in the Plains in April.
As mentioned earlier, a rare December Moderate Risk is in effect, so this may not be the last we hear from these storms.
