Dew Drops and Snow: Superb Weather Photos
UPDATE: I'm adding this picture which was just uploaded last night:
This is part of a series of photos taken September 27th in Milk River, Alberta, Canada by

Colynn says "My dad taught me to watch the sky and as an outdoor enthusiast, I`ve made it my passtime to follow and learn about the weather. I was checking the AccuWeather satellite map and noticed unusual cloud formations in my area. Looking out the window I immediately became excited, grabbed my cameras, and headed into a nearby field." Talk about keeping an "eye" to the sky! These are lenticular waves clouds - and I guess this is what they look like from underneath! The contrast between the layers in the clouds might have been too small to see if not for the sunset's brilliance casting over them. Wow.
ORIGINAL POST: Every once in a while I see photos uploaded to our AccuWeather.com Photo Gallery that are just so superb that I have to highlight them. Since the weather is relatively benign this weekend, I'll show a couple here.
This first photo was taken last month in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania by chiaramonte. It gets even more fun when you click on "View All Sizes" to enlarge. The dew drops combined with the unique green hue approximate Christmas ornaments, and are surreal against the flower in the background. Great job!
I also really like the photo below though I can't say why for sure. Something about the way it is framed by the snow in the trees, or something about the color being in the center of the picture. This is the sign of being a good photographer - recognizing a good setup when you see it. I hope that I am able to do that even part of the time with my photos. This picture was taken by dksatnos last winter in Greece and qualified for placement on AQUOS TVs for the month of October.
