Deadly Tornadoes Hit Florida
UPDATE: Tornado reports continue this morning -- at 9:40 AM, the NWS received this report: "PUBLIC VISUAL REPORT OF TORNADO ON GROUND VIEWED FROM US HWY 1 TWO MILES SOUTH OF GRANT, FL" [Google Map]. Also at 5:35 AM this morning, this report: "POSSIBLE TORNADO. DE LAND [Google Map] WASTE TREATMENT PLANT. DAMAGE TO ROOFS, VENTS, TREES. DOORS AND WINDOWS BLOWN OUT OF SOME BUILDINGS." Breaking News: Turn on your TV. Fox News is showing aerial footage of massive destruction in central Florida after a night of tornadoes left at least 14 dead and many still missing. More information including radar images to be posted here soon. CNN says "The storms toppled trees and power lines and sent tractor-trailer trucks careering off Interstate 4."

Remember that some of these storms were in similar places to the Christmas Tornado Outbreak in Florida.
And ironically on Groundhog Day 2006, a tornado hit New Orleans overnight.
