Comparison: Severe 5/31 And Today

The Moderate Risk areas issued by the SPC look similar to Saturday. Both areas are further south, but eastern Virginia and Maryland are in their second Moderate this week. This means that D.C. and Baltimore are going to be once again under the gun today.

The image above shows Saturday's risk (pink) versus this morning's (red). Henry just pointed out, the air is quite "juicy" with dewpoints over 70 degrees in southern Virginia, so this could indeed be a very interesting day for the mid-Atlantic (and you remember those radars I showed you!)
