Cold Hits Florida, 5 Feet of Snow in MI
To round out this Arctic blast in April, observe these extreme snowfall amounts from Michigan and New York (lake-effect storm totals since late week, amounts over 3 feet or 36 inches shown):
PAINESDALE, MI: 59.0"
PHOENIX FARMS, MI: 57.0"
MARQUETTE, MI: 47.0"
ROCKLAND, MI 43.7"
ATLANTIC MINE, MI: 38.0"
REDFIELD, NY: 38.0"
And this morning, the cold made it all the way to Florida and Mexico. Low temperatures were in the 30s in every state in the nation (yes, Arizona and Washington too, though it's hard to tell from the map).
