One of the largest avalanches in recent history, according to locals (Fox News on-air), has brought a 15-foot wall of snow, dirt and trees down on Highway US-40 near Berthoud Pass (60 miles west of Denver), burying some cars and knocking others off the road (AP). Seven people have been hospitalized. Fox News is now showing aerial video of US 40 -- the avalanche has two separate areas of the road buried.
