Chicago Damage, MI Lightning Photos
Blog reader Dave pointed out that I was remiss in not mentioning the storm damage and power outages in Chicago during Monday's storms. Over 360,000 people lost power -- the largest outage in three years -- and 31,000 were still out on Wednesday night. I saw a report on The Weather Channel that over 4,000 trees were downed by the storms. A school's gym roof was blown off, trapping people in a van beneath it, and many schools and businesses were closed through mid-week.
