Central PA Flooding 3/14/10
As noted yesterday, a powerful Nor'easter swept across the Northeast this weekend with hurricane-force wind gusts, knocking out power to more than half a million and dousing the area with 3-6 inches of rain, sometimes on top of snow melt.
There were some great Facebook Photos submitted to us as well as pics of wind, waves and flooding on our Photo Gallery. Here in Central Pennsylvania, the rain and snow melt meant local flooding. I have seen the USGS Gauge in Houserville higher before, but I did get some pictures and video, as did local storm chaser Ron "R-Factor" Shawley near Johnstown. Here are a few things I saw today:
