Buoys: Flo`s 40-Foot Waves?
44138 (8 AM Wed.) - This buoy (#44138) also reported gusts to 68 mph and pressure of 29.05" Hg.
AccuWeather.com meteorologist John Kocet pointed out earlier today that, as Florence nears the Canadian Maritimes, "The high winds over a broad fetch of the ocean will generate waves 20 to 25 feet high." I'd wager at least that, based on the latest Wave Forecast Model from our Pro site, which shows waves in excess of 40 feet will be possible on The Grand Banks (home of The Perfect Storm) off the coast of Prince Edward Island:
