Blogs: Kate's Vlog, Europe, Canada
After poking some fun at the number of bloggers that we have here, I should say that we really have some great talents, and I dare you to find another weather site with as many entertaining, informative, and media-rich blogs as AccuWeather.com.
Here's what's happening in the blogs of my fellow crewmates today. By the way, I apologize for not linking to the Premium and Pro blogs here, it is a tedious process. If you are a Premium or Pro user, let me know how helpful it would be and I'll take the time next round. In fact, let me know if the links are helpful for any of you.
There are a couple of recent additions that I would like to call your attention to. First, is covering European weather and warns us today of a strong storm in Spain while the ridge of high pressure holds over the United Kingdom. Second, Brett Anderson keeps abreast of the weather in Canada, talking today about the cold and snow in the East.
No need to adjust your set folks, that picture of Kate Bilo on her blogreally is moving. Getting dizzy let?
Kate has started doing video blogs, or vlogs, called "Confessions of a WeatherGirl," as of yesterday.
Bob Larson clarifies what needs to happen to make this a "below-average" winter, while Katrina explains how losing heat through your head relates to losing weight.
Elsewhere on the Accu-Blog-O-Scope, Brian Clark is complaining that 100 mile per hour gusts aren't enough for him (so that's what spending a season with The World's Worst Weather will do to you).
Brian's dad Ken Clark has some more strong wind stats from southern Cali and an update on the Arizona drought.
Cheryl Nelson dons a pair of skis, does a snow dance, and does a video about the effect that the lack of snow is having on the ski business.
Meanwhile Elliot Abrams wishes his dad a happy 89th birthday and takes us on a pun-filled (fluo)ride to discuss the upcoming weather with a hint of chemistry.
Sports and Canadian Politics are the subjects of Steve's blog on Friday, and I have to say I don't know beans about either one. He's also asking "where's the snow??"
And finally, let's talk lunchbags. Man, do I wish I had read Yeager's complaint about lunch bags before I wrote my parody on blogs earlier today. If I had, I would have recommended that we give his uninsulated lunch bag a blog. Jokes aside (again), it takes a good scientist to think mechanically enough to make the observation that he did (insulated lunch bags have no place in the fridge). I personally don't do the insulated bag thing -- I usually just use some sort of shopping bag to bring my lunch in. This morning I realized that I had picked a bag from Hot Topic and people were giving me strange looks. Turns out, I'm not goth after all, my daughter just picked up some Harry Potter paraphernalia there.
