Blogitis: Soccer Series Finale, That 70s AccuWx
The truth is, I was trying to wrap up two important projects yesterday:
1. Scanning in photos of AccuWeather in the 1970's 2. Digitizing Henry Margusity's (PREMIUM | PRO) Hi-8 home videos from the 1990's
And I also had the "series finale" of my daughter's soccer game - she has played for about 6(?) years but is going to volleyball next year as they have no structured junior varsity program at the local high school.
In regards to #1, I am doing this for two reasons. One, so that the paper photos won't deteriorate further (I'll be placing a CD of the scanned photos in our building's Weather Library. Two, for humorous fodder for our The AccuWeather.com Facebook Page. So, rather than the afore-promised embarrassing photo of me, that you get every time I go a day without blogging, I'll point you to the "That 70's AccuWeather" photo gallery on our Facebook Page (become a fan today if you haven't already!) I scanned in about 100 pics, so there will be more coming soon, including shots of our CEO Barry and Founder Joel Myers. But if you don't become a fan of our Facebook page you'll never know!
In regards to #2, I have now seen more of Meteo Madness Man (PREMIUM | PRO) life than I wanted to. :) The best weather-related diamond in the rough is his Blizzard of 1993 footage:
