Big Temp Spike Overnight in Pennsylvania
We had quite the temperature spike overnight last night as some of that record warm air in the Southeast filtered up into Pennsylvania. I was amazed to look at the thermometer at 3 AM (couldn't sleep, working) reading 65 degrees, especially considering our average low is 25 this time of year here in State College, PA, home of AccuWeather HQ [Google Map]. That put me 40 degrees above normal! The spike was nearly 25 degrees. Here's what it looked like on the AccuWeather.com Weather Station:
Temperatures were even warmer in neighboring West Virginia. Here's what the temperature plot looked like at around midnight:
The warmth was brought in my strong southwest winds.
